MANAMA, Bahrain – The GDA International Downstream Conference and Exhibition, launched by the Gulf Downstream Association (GDA), is the largest Downstream conference and exhibition in the Middle East of the year. Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister, Kingdom of Bahrain, the GDA Conference 2018 will be held from 23rd - 25th October at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre in Manama.

The theme of this three-day event is "Towards a Competitive Downstream through Innovation, Collaboration and Technology" with the sole purpose of strengthening the Downstream industry and capitalizing on the available opportunities. For more information visit: www.gdaconference.org.

About GDA

The Gulf Downstream Association (GDA) was founded by Saudi Aramco, Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI), Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) as a non-profit organisation that aims at exchanging information, experiences, and outstanding technical practices, and raising the efficiency of employees in the sector of refining, distribution and associated facilities, as well as contributing to the economic and social development of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

In addition, strengthening generally the position of the petroleum industry in the growth of the global economy. The approval on the establishment of the Gulf Downstream Association (GDA) took place at the Cabinet meeting in the Kingdom of Bahrain held on 11 July 2016.
