Pre-commissioning of Electrical systems is an important part of the commissioning process. If not done properly during pre-commissioning, small issues can become much bigger issues later. The first thing that takes place prior to pre-commissioning is Mechanical Completion. The handover from the construction team to the commissioning team precedes pre-commissioning, for the commissioning team to then proceed with pre-commissioning activities. That is done by the commissioning team itself. The systems are installed, mechanical completion takes place, and they are handed over to the commissioning team. The commissioning team then starts to perform electrical pre-commissioning activities.
