Ali is a Superintendent Low Sulphur Diesel Section in Oil Processing Department South (OPD-S) Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) with 26 years of experience in the field of oil processing. He holds Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from University of Bahrain and BSc in Chemical Engineering from Teesside University -UK.

Ali is a Superintendent Low Sulphur Diesel Section in Oil Processing Department South (OPD-S) Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) with 26 years of experience in the field of oil processing. He holds Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from University of Bahrain and BSc in Chemical Engineering from Teesside University -UK.

Ali has particular expertise in Crude Distillation, Gasoline Platforming, Kero Merox process, Diesel Hydrocracking, Hydrogen reforming, Lube Base Oil Process, Refinery Gas Desulphurization and Refinery Waste Water Treatment Process.

He has Multi certification in Operation Excellence, Process Safety and firefighting field. Ali actively participated in various Engineering studies and Troubleshooting to ensure Systems, Processes, Strategies, Business plans, assets Integrity and Reliability are in place for continued and sustained safe Refinery operation.

I did participate as operations engineer construction and commissioning of OCR- ARDS (on line catalyst replacement) which was MEGA Project in MAB refinery 2003-2004. I worked as operations section in MAB refinery as PIP (profit improvement program) 2005-2006. I participated in P&ID and HAZOP workshop reviews for ARDS unit in ZOR & MAB refineries during FEED & EPC contract.

Emad A. Al-Muhaisen has twenty (20) years of experience in project management, engineering, execution, maintenance and reliability, capital investment and master/business planning in refining, petrochemicals and oil & gas industries. He has had the opportunity to work previously for companies like Saudi Chevron Phillips, Foster Wheeler, King Wilkinson, Parsons and Dar Al-Riyadh Consultants and currently for Saudi Aramco.

Al-Muhaisen has twenty (20) years of experience in project management, engineering, execution, maintenance and reliability, capital investment and master/business planning in refining, petrochemicals and oil & gas industries. He has had the opportunity to work previously for companies like Saudi Chevron Phillips, Foster Wheeler, King Wilkinson, Parsons and Dar Al-Riyadh Consultants and currently for Saudi Aramco. At present, working to establish and staff a new “capital efficiency division” of Domestic Refining and NGL Fractionation admin area of Saudi Aramco.

Edwin received his BS Chemical Engineering Degree from Tulane University in Louisiana, USA. He is results-oriented with Directorate experience in Downstream refining, Extra Heavy Oil Upgrading, Upstream, Marketing and Projects, including high level roles in Commissioning, Operations, Technical, Engineering, Process Engineering, Economics & Planning.

Edwin received his BS Chemical Engineering Degree from Tulane University in Louisiana, USA. He is results-oriented with Directorate experience in Downstream refining, Extra Heavy Oil Upgrading, Upstream, Marketing and Projects, including high level roles in Commissioning, Operations, Technical, Engineering, Process Engineering, Economics & Planning. He is passionate in taking a refinery to pacesetter performance. Career highlights are:

  • Commissioning Director responsible for all aspects of commissioning for 4 Grassroots and Revamps of Refinery-Petrochemical projects.
  • Refinery E&P / Optimization Manager responsible for starting up 3 new refinery E&P departments, including start-up, day-to-day operations and training of new personnel. Major talent for assessing financial performance and schemes to optimize refinery operations
  • Technical Manager in Middle East refinery responsible for plant acceptance and supervising Planning, Scheduling, Environmental, Laboratory, and Process departments staff.
  • Operations experience – responsible for managing operations team. Expert Operations trouble-shooter and capable of planning and executing any refinery start-up or shutdown. Process experience CDU, VDU, DCU, ARDS, HCU, FCC, HDT, HPU, SGU, ARU, SWS, SRU, Utilities, OM&S, Production facilities, Corrosion control. Maintenance experience in CMMS built for refinery performance.
