Mohammed Mansoor is the Technical and Marketing Manager of the Gulf Downstream Association GDA since 2023 in addition to his duties and responsibilities in Bapco as JV Coordination and Value Chain Optimization VCO team support. Mohammed Mansoor more than 30years experience in Oil and Gas Business as he started his career with Banoco in 1995 as Planning Engineer in the Oil and Gas production field for one year and joined Bapco Refinery as Process Engineer in 1996 for two years. In 1998, Mohammed handled the position of Engineer Planning & Economics running the Linear Programming LP for Refinery economics and Value Chain Optimization and was promoted to Coordinator Planning & Economics in 2002. In 2003 Mohammed moved to hold Supply & Marine Operations to manage Abu Safah Crude contracts execution between Bapco, Saudi Aramco and the International Crude customers in addition to Bapco Refinery Petroleum Products contracts execution for local and International Market, where he was promoted to Senior Coordinator Supply & Marine Operations in 2009 during which he was handling Acting Manager position in the same department. In 2012, Mohammed moved to another role as Joint venture coordinator of The Bahrain Lube Base Oil Company (BLBOC) with Nest Oil from Finland, where Mohammed started handling the JV Coordination for feed, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Budgeting and JV Management up to date.
Mohammed Holds BSC in Chemical Engineering from University of Bahrain. Mohammed has attended the UOP Engineering Design Seminar for Process Engineers in Chicago (Illinois) USA in 2002. He also got the Certificate in Management in 2009 from The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the Certificate of Advance Leadership Program (ALP) from Harvard Managementor as part of the Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning.
In addition to the above certificates, Mohammed has attended several professional certificates and seminars in Refinery Optimization, Finance and Management such as The Refinery Economics and Linear Programming in France, IFP 1998, Process Industry Modelling System PPIMS by Aspen Tech in Bahrain, Feb 1999, Refining Processes and Economics of Oil Business in Japan, JCCP for 1 month in 1999, Finance for Non Financing Managers from BIBF, Feb 2005, Anatomy of Shipping from Selwyn College, Cambridge in 2007, Foundation Course in Marketing by Bahrain Institute for Retail and Development (BIRD), in 2007, International leadership & Management ”Transparency in Business and Corporate Responsibility”, 2009, Certified and Licensed by ROB Rorich & Associate to conduct Business Planning Facilitation Process with Bapco, in 2006-2009.
